Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to a series of Medical Education and Training Review Programme Working Group Town Hall events.

By joining the Medical Education and Training Review (METR) Working Group Town Hall events you will learn more about the work underway across the programme and contribute to the development of future recommendations.

These events will provide an opportunity to hear directly from the working groups about their areas of focus, emerging thinking, and early reform ideas. They will also act as an important opportunity to gather feedback from stakeholders; test developing proposals and ensure that a wide range of views and perspectives are considered as the work progresses.

By attending, you will be able to:

  • Learn about the priorities and progress of individual working groups.
  • Hear about emerging themes and areas being explored.
  • Share your views and feedback on developing ideas.
  • Help inform the ongoing work of the Medical Education and Training Review.

To attend, please ensure you register, this is a new additional process to what has been communicated previously.

The Medical Education Reform Team

Dear Colleagues,

As part of Phase 2 of the Medical Education and Training Review (METR), we are pleased to invite you to a series of Town Halls. The METR programme is exploring a wide range of reform areas, including career progression, flexibility, curricula, rotations, educators and training facilities, clinical academic medicine, training delivery and procedure-heavy specialties.

These sessions are an opportunity to hear about progress across the programme workstreams, discuss emerging reform proposals, and provide views that will help shape future recommendations. Feedback gathered through the town halls will be fed back into the relevant working groups to inform the ongoing development of proposals.

The town halls are designed to complement the work of the METR working groups and provide a broader forum for engagement with resident doctors, LEDs, SAS doctors, educators, employers, service providers, professional bodies, patients and other stakeholders.
