We’re halfway through the live period for the GMC SAS and LE doctor’s survey.
By 13 May 2026, the total response rate from SAS and LEDs is only 6.5%! Compared to this, the response rate from Resident doctors for GMC’s NTS 2025 was 69%!
This survey is a great opportunity to ensure LED/SAS experiences, development needs, and workplace realities directly shape the future of medical education, training and workforce planning in the UK.
As educators, clinical leaders and supporters of this vital part of our workforce, we play a key role in amplifying their voices.
Encourage colleagues across DME, PGME, Trust education teams, SAS/LED Tutors and clinical supervisors to actively disseminate the survey within your organisations and networks.
Greater participation means stronger evidence — and stronger evidence means better policy, better support structures and better careers for the doctors who keep our services running.
If you work with SAS or LE doctors, please share the survey widely and encourage completion. Their insights matter and this is the moment to help make them visible.
Please continue to proactively contact your network and disseminate the survey wider and give a final push.
